Having spent / wasted the last 2 evenings on non-useful stuff, this was what I needed to read!

Interesting read - though personally I still maintain that however much I practice now I’m not going to score the winner in an FA Cup final….

I like the central message and advice in this post

letsgetinfjiggy:

I shared some thoughts on career advice to a follower and I thought I’d share them for more to see. Having trouble figuring out what to do with your life?

You are not alone, my friend. I’d say start off with paying close attention to yourself. Really listen in on what your heart and mind are…

In addition to my normal posts, I’m going to post, or reblog one of these motivational comments or proverbs every day at 7AM UK time.
If nothing else this is a reminder to myself each day that, no matter how I’m feeling, I have to get up and get on with life, because it’s not going to wait for me, and I may as well choose to be positive as opposed to being negative.
Trite? Maybe - the cynic in me says so, but there is a lot of evidence out there to suggest otherwise…and that a lot of success is down to how we define ourselves, and how we react to challenges and adversity.

Blog post on 15 books that might help your career - I’ve read some, but not all of these, and those that I did read were excellent.

However, with any lists like this, it’s worth checking out the reviews on Amazon et al before buying - make you’re own mind up before spending your cash! Not all of these get enthusiastic reviews on Amazon UK.

One or more of these could be a good investment if you’re looking for inspiration. If you have any recommendations I’d love to hear them
